State Dinner at the White House Featured Stunning Views of the City

It was an honor to be a part of the special events team that created the setting for the state dinner for the Indian Prime Minister in November 2009. The event included our structure with a clear roof and sides to showcase the amazing backdrop of Washington, D.C.

US Event Structures began erecting its 82- by 164-foot clear stand tent six days before the state dinner. It had floor-to-ceiling glass walls, a clear top, and a 110-foot-long marquee leading guests in from the East Wing. The glass walls allowed guests to have stunning views of not only the White House, but also the Washington Monument and Jefferson Memorial.
