The National Symphony Orchestra’s Opening Night Ball always seems to be the kickoff to the fall social season in Washington, D.C., and it never disappoints. From the menu to the decor, the event theme was Russian with a modern twist to highlight a new two-year Focus on Russia platform at the Kennedy Center.
For the event at the Kennedy Center, US Event Structures provided the 17,466-square-foot tent that hosted the 800 guests in attendance. This year’s event featured a fully lined ceiling treatment in the dinner tent along with dramatic lighting to create an enchanting atmosphere for the guests.
The evening was picture perfect, despite the downpour of rain during the event. Because of our expert knowledge in tenting, the event went off without a hitch or a leak. The rain even took center stage as it poured down our clear windows during the event. Illuminated by lights, the windows had a purple glow and resemembled a water feature.
